CBT and CT - Benefits of using a Hybrid Solution - Benefits of Streaming Video

Through this example, you will learn about the advantages and pitfalls of using digital video within a training website. Although Connected Training provides such an option, we recommend you choose this option carefully. Target it to users who have high-bandwidth connections or those on an intranet.

In the near future we will be providing you with an example of how streaming video might benefit your employee's training experience. At that time, if you could see the video on this page and your trainees are likely to have as good or better of a connection as you do now, then chances are you are a good candidate for using web-based streaming video within Connected Training.

If you have performance problems or would like for other reasons to keep your trainees from viewing training materials in such a fashion, we have a host of other options available to you. You could instead use animation in place of video, since it requires much less of your trainee's computer and connection to display animated training examples. Or you could deploy your training videos on CD- or DVD-ROM to ensure the best quality training experience and most secure delivery of your training visuals while still providing your training on the web.

Please check back soon to view our streaming video example. Then choose for yourself which method works best for educating your employees visually.
